Under Construction

My Guitars

For all you guitar players out there, how many times did you buy a guitar, only to modify it the next day with new pickups, or tuners, or whatever? It can become quite costly.

What I have done over the years to fight off the rising costs of a good guitar is to build it myself. Take a look.

The Jaguar

This is my Jaguar. The neck is a Warmoth birds-eye maple, with an ebony finger board. The body was carved out of a block of very heavy mahogany. It has a very interesting crotch mahogany book-matched top The pickups are custom ordered from Jason Lollar.

Goldie

This is a design that I had copied from someone on the internet. I’d like to be able to give that person some credit, but I lost the web site. The neck is a custom Warmoth, 24&3/4 scale length, mahogany, with an ebony finger board. The body is 2&1/4 inch thick with a book-matched flamed Koa top. The inner cavities of the guitar have been hollowed out. The pickups are all Gibson

The Telecaster

This is my Telecaster. The body and the neck are both flamed Koa, custom ordered from Warmoth. The pickups are Gibson P-90’s

The 336

I call this a 336 because I don’t know what else to call it. The construction of this guitar is loosly based on the construction of the Gibson ES-336, so hence the name. The neck is mahogany, with an ebony fingerboard. It was custom ordered from Warmoth. The body is 2&1/2 inch solid piece of mahogany, with a book-matched flamed Koa top. The pickups are all gibson

The Beater

Last but not least, the Beater. I call it the beater because for some reason it has alot of dents, dings, and burns in it. It is one of the better sounding guitars I have made The body is a solid piece of mahogany and the neck is maple with an ebony fingerboard. Both pieces are custom ordered components from Warmoth. The pickups are Gibson P-90’s. Please note the obligatory cigarette burn
