My Amps |
For all you guitar players out there, how many times did you buy an amp, and after owning it for a while go “Why’d I buy this? It can become quite costly. What I have done over the years to is to figure what sounds I like, and then build the amp to match the sounds I’m looking for. Take a look. |
The 5E3 |
Well, this is sort of a 5E3. Its more like a wolf in sheeps clothing. I’ve upgraded the transformers to be able to support 6L6’s. The power supply has also been beefed up a little. The bias circuit has been changed to a fixed bias, and The Paul C Mod has been installed. The speaker in a Weber P12N clone. This amp Rocks! |
Another 5E3 |
Ok. This is essentially the same amp as listed above, only it’s housed in a cabinet with 2 10 inch Emminence speakers |
5E3 x 4 |
So I went a little overboard on this one. This is basically the same as the amps above only it has a transformer set to drive 4—EL34’s. I have two cabinets made for this amp. I need to decide on a single 15 inch speaker, or 2 10 inch speakers. |

5F8A |
This is my copy of a 5F8A amp. The power structure in this amp is set to run 6L6’s or 6V6’s. The only major change I’ve made to the original circuit was to add a pot to the bias circuit. |
